At the heart of the kit is the SMARTbox mini ETH: a fully integrated LTE IoT gateway that connects Modbus TCP servers securely to the IoT cloud without the need for local IT infrastructure.

The SMARTmodbus ETH kit allows you to quickly and easily digitize local Modbus TCP systems and devices for centralized remote monitoring—ideal for energy management, building automation, HVAC, compressed air technology, and water management.
The heart of the kit is the SMARTbox mini ETH: a fully integrated cellular IoT gateway designed specifically for industrial use. The device connects Modbus TCP servers securely via 4G LTE to the IoT cloud—no VPN infrastructure or local IT required. Communication is encrypted using MQTT, HTTPS, and TLS. It supports up to 32 Modbus devices with a total of up to 400 data points.
With the integrated Cloudfieldbus application, all Modbus devices on the network can be configured, managed, and monitored via plug & play.
