What are PSsystec
SMARTservices?
PSsystec SMARTservices are preconfigured IoT onboarding and activation packages, available as an exclusive add-on to PSsystec gateway products. They enable direct IoT cloud connectivity right out of the box, eliminating the need for complex integration projects or external IT service providers. SMARTservices are not available as a standalone service. The package can only be booked in combination with a PSsystec gateway—which is exactly where it delivers its full value: as a seamless extension that brings IoT plug-and-play to building and plant technology.

Every SMARTbox gateway can be retrofitted, operates non-invasively, and is vendor-agnostic—requiring no modifications to existing systems or controllers.
Existing sensors and field devices, including Modbus, Modbus TCP/IP, M-Bus, PT1000, 4–20 mA, 0–10 V, digital signals, and pulse transmitters, connect directly to the SMARTbox. The gateway transmits the collected data securely via mobile connectivity (NB-IoT, LTE-M, or LTE) using LwM2M or MQTT protocols to an IoT platform or data lake.
From there, data can optionally be forwarded to existing target systems, such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, OPTENDA, ecoplanet, econ, FlowChief, Twinetic, or ERP systems.

Billing is based on sensor units. One sensor unit corresponds to one physical sensor or one Modbus or M-Bus device with up to 3 data points – each with cyclic transmission and/or OnChange signals.
