Description

The SMARTbox cubeIO ETH is an integrated LTE IoT gateway designed to build an effective remote maintenance, alarm signaling, and monitoring system for decentralized facility locations – without the need for VPN infrastructure or local IT. Many systems in utilities, industry, and infrastructure are currently digitally unreachable and lack sufficient measurement coverage. This device closes both gaps: it enables direct remote access to all IP devices behind the box for the remote maintenance of any PLC system or plant equipment via a secure IoT cloud. Continuous monitoring of plant equipment is handled via Modbus TCP, SNMP, and BACnet. Up to 40 universal I/Os allow for the direct connection of process sensors and digital alarm signals – ranging from 4–20 mA and 0–10 V to Pt1000 and potential-free alarm contacts.
